You are the only person who is in charge of how you feel about yourself. Nobody else can possibly do that. You get to decide if you believe you are beautiful or not, and nobody can take it away from you. If someone suggests that you aren’t beautiful, you can consider how sad it is that they have such a limited view of beauty. You can consider how unfortunate it is that they have such an exaggerated sense of self-importance that they think you should care about what they think. You can also choose to realize that it has nothing at all to do with your beauty and everything to do with their limitations.

Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.

Close some doors. Not because of pride, incapacity or arrogance, but simply because they no longer lead somewhere.

Death does not simply end life. It steals away the sunsets you’ll never see, the children you’ll ever hold, the wife you’ll never love. It’s frightening to almost lose your future and it’s heartbreaking to witness death snuff out other people’s tomorrows.

Sure - You wish you did some things differently, but there is no sense in becoming burdened with regret over things you have no power to change.

People don’t look at your personality first. People judge you automatically by your looks and then try to get to know your personality. But the second they don’t like your looks, they don’t get to know you.

If you don’t like me, someone else will. If you are not missing me, someone else is. If you don’t love me, someone else does.

But remember that you have to move on, somehow. You just pick your head up and stare at something beautiful like the sky, or the ocean, and you move the hell on.

Just because you don’t have prince, doesn’t mean you are not a princess.

You know what I can’t understand? You have all these people telling you all the time how great you are, smart, and funny, and talented, and all that, I mean endlessly. I have been telling you for years. So why don’t you believe it?

Every girl is expected to have Caucasian blue eyes, full Spanish lips, a classic button nose, hairless Asian skin with a California tan, a Jamaican dance hall ass, long Swedish legs, small Japanese feet, the abs of a lesbian gym owner, the hips of a nine year old boy, the arms of Michelle Obama and doll tits. This is why everyone is struggling.

I want to believe that I am not wrong. I want to believe that life isn’t full of darkness. Even if storms come to pass, the sun will shine again. No matter how painful and hard the rain may beat down on me.

There is no shame in being hungry for another person. There is no shame in wanting very much to share your life with somebody.

I wish I could show you, when you are lonely or in darkness, the astonishing light of your own being.

Never apologize for how you feel. No one can control how they feel. The sun doesn’t apologize for being the sun. The rain doesn’t say sorry for falling. Feelings just are.
